CeBIT Australia conference 2009

On 12 - 14 May 2009, the CeBIT Australia conference was held in Sydney, Australia.  At this conference, Senator Kate Lundy gave a speech entitled, "Improving ICT Infrastructure and the Opportunities for Australian Business and Society", which addressed Open Government and Participatory Democracy.   The Hon. Lindsay Tanner MP also gave a video address to the CeBET e-Government Forum (view the transcript), in which he discussed using web 2.0 technologies to enable the government to change the way it functions and relates to ordinary citizens and to interest groups that have a major involvement in particular areas of policy.
