Australian Bureau of Statistics releases data under a Creative Commons Attribution licence
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is Australia's official statistical body and collector of Australian census data. On 18 December 2008, ABS announced that it was releasing all of its website content, including census data, under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia licence. This means that anyone can now use ABS data for any purpose, even commercial purposes, provided they attribute the ABS as the source of the data.
