APPSI was established as a Non-Departmental Public Body, by Douglas Alexander MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office in April 2003. In October 2006, APPSI became a Non-Departmental Public Body of the Ministry of Justice (then the Department of Constitutional Affairs).
Power of Information Task Force
The Power of Information Taskforce was established by Cabinet Office Minister Tom Watson MP in March 2008.
Re-Use of Public Sector Information Portal
Developed by the Centre for Management and Organisational Development, Department of Finance - the portal contains links to all specified bodies in Ireland which have obligations under the European Directive on the re-use of public sector information
